Each hat is pressed in a fire mold to obtain our patented shape.  With this method, the straw is subject to flames at extreme temperatures.  No two hats look alike due to the differences in heat applied, age of the palm straw and moisture content of the material.  Some hats have more character than others due to the flames. Some may contain burn markings in several places, some only a few, some none at all. Each one truly is its own work of art.

Website changes XXL to XL in your cart.

Be careful to check you order before click that CHECK OUT box. If you choose the XXL Large Mellon, as I did, the website changes it back to XL. Yeah, my bad for not checking before committing, right? Here's the 2-star reason: I realized my mistake right away. Sent two emails to two different addresses with the order number, asking them to correct my mistake and send the XXL. Nah. No answer and guess who has an XL that I really can't wear.

Poor customer service, terrible communication

I ordered a XXL/melon size straw hat and sent an email prior to the package being shipped to confirm it was the XXL size. I received the wrong size hat and sent a text asking for a refund or exchange. Neither email or text was ever responded to.
